Robeson County is home to more than 40 industrial companies that rely on natural gas as a critical component of their normal operations.
It is important to understand that a road to success is paved with a strong infrastructure.
The natural gas industry is a critical tool for the stability and growth of our county’s economy development.
The following industrial companies moved to Robeson County because of the three important infrastructures that our county provided, water, sewer and natural gas: Campbell Soup; Mountaire Farms; Elkay; Graphic Packaging; International Paper; Kayser Roth Corp.; Quickie Manufacturing; Pepsi-
Cola; Project not 100 percent complete, Sanderson Farms, St. Pauls location, Sanderson Farms, Lumberton location; Trinity Foods; Steven Roberts Desserts; Prestage Foods; Mueller Steam; and Lumberton Renewable Power Generation.
These industrial partners help to increase the growth of Robeson County’s work force with the creation of
9,300 jobs and more than $700 million investment on which they are taxed. It is important to know that with each job created in our county provides a sustainable and substantial economic impact.
Additionally this critical infrastructure in place drastically increases the ability for our county to
attract large industrial users. This infrastructure equates to jobs and a better quality of life for our citizens.
